Parents In Need of Support

PINS is a charity working in Hartlepool to support families who are affected by their childs Drug/Alcohol misuse.

Our service is totally confidential and we can arrange to meet in a person’s home or a venue of their choosing where they can feel relaxed and comfortable.

Many parents just simply call into our office, where we can provide a pleasant informal environment so they can chat openly to a support worker or pick up some information regarding drug or alcohol issues from our intensive library of books, DVD’s, CD’s leaflets etc.

We provide a wide range of services (services we offer) but the majority of our work is providing one to one support, a shoulder to cry on, someone whom you can talk to openly without any feeling of discrimination.

We understand parent’s anxieties and make no judgements, our aim is to help family members to cope with their situation and in turn to help and support their son/daughter, actively encouraging parents to become part of their recovery program.

We do not have a magic wand here, but we can provide help and advice so you can develop the skills required to help you cope.
